Twilight Tours

Have you ever heard lions calling to one another as darkness falls, or wolves howl as the moon rises?

Come experience these breathtaking moments on a Twilight tour at the Conservators Center. This tour provides an opportunity to see our residents at a time of day when they are most active and vocal.

Twilights are typically more in-depth tours, and feature science and story content about each of the animals in residence at the Center. Topics may include conservation status and challenges, method of predation, evolutionary adaptations, communication, and behavior. No two tours are alike, however, as our tour guides tailor their discussions to each group!

Our kid-friendly Family Twilights are designed for all ages and are an ideal option for those with younger children. Your guide will engage kids, and the young at heart, in conversation geared for inquisitive young minds. If you would like a longer and more in-depth conversation about our residents, please consider our Adult Twilights.

Twilights are available April through September.

Have Questions Please check our Tour FAQ! You can also send us an email from our Contact Us page, or give us a call at 888.650.1139.

Adult Twilights

The Adult Twilight tour is formatted for ages 13 and up and lasts about 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on group participation.

Howl with wolves and roar with lions as the sun sets! Discover animals from around the globe as you meet lions, tigers, leopards, wolves, binturongs, and more! Learn about their unique evolutionary adaptations, ecological niches, and what makes each species special. Your tour guide will discuss the species you're viewing, answer questions, and share stories about the individuals who call the Center home. You'll also see demonstrations of the target training and special enrichment we provide to each of our residents as well as learning about the philosophy behind the care we provide.

Adult Twilights discuss mature topics like mating habits and may not be suited for children under the age of 13.
